Aromaleigh: Gothic Lolita Swatches

It's a nice, sunny day today so I thought I'd do some swatches. I think I need to find a better lit area of my apartment because these pictures look like they were done under florescent lighting. Teddy Wisp and Angel Bouquet samples along with the full-size jars were purchased by me. The rest of the samples were generously given by the ladies at Aromaleigh.

Taken near my window with flash. It looked better with flash. Without flash, it looked muddy.

Little craving is a very cool pink. I have a really hard time wear really cool pinks because it doesn't blend well with my skin tone (fair, yellow/olive undertones).

Teddy Wisp is a very beautiful taupe. Angel Bouquet has that same cool undertone going on. I love how vibrant Purple Princess is.

More swatches to come!

Aromaleigh: Spring Solstice 2009 Swatches

First, sample sets for the 3 new Aromaleigh collection - Mythos, Wonderstruck, Spells - are now all available right here. Second, you can purchase the full-sized jars of Mythos over here, here, and here. Third, today was a HUGE makeup purchase day for me. I purchased sample sets of Meow's 3 newest collections, a sample set of Fyrinnae's new Dia De Los Muertos collection, and sample sets plus full-sized jars of Aromaleigh's three newest collections! Yay! To think I thought I might not have anything to swatch after I finish my Aromaleigh ones. ;]

I finally found some time to do a few more swatches. I really wish my apartment had better lighting because my camera needs all the help it can get. (I bought it for real cheap.)

For my second order, I purchased all full-sized jars and they sent me three freebies. Two of the samples were part of my first order ever with Aromaleigh.

Absolutely LOVE Alyssum! Ondberry looks like a great crease color. Can't figure out what to do with Nasturtium. Red has a nasty habit of making me look super gothic.

I originally ordered Campanula from the Satin Petals collection but they sent me Calendula instead. Lol, the pigment I got didn't look like the pigment pictured in Satin Petals' color chart but swatched, it looks like it could be. I love the cool silver hue. I'm loving the gold shimmer in Forget Me Not.

I can't figure out whether or not I like Zinnia! It's such an odd color. It looks like a light peach in the sample bag. Swatched on my skin, it takes on a lavender hue. Psychadelic.

Aromaleigh: Mythos

My wallet is going to bleed black blood, that's how crazy this season is looking to be. For their closing, Aromaleigh is going out with a bang by introducing 3 new collections! The first one has already been introduced and soon, samples and full sizes will be available. I can't wait!!

The next two collections are two literary favorites: "Wonderstruck" based off of Alice In Wonderland and "Spells" based off of Harry Potter. WOO!

Fyrinnae: Dia De Los Muertos

Fyrinnae's been tweeting about this collection for a while now and after all this anticipation, I'm so glad to finally see them on sale!

These guys are really good at what they do (read: colors) and if you weren't convinced by their other collections, you will be now. Whee! Another collection that I am definitely going to get my hands on. :D

Meow Cosmetics: New Collections

I love Halloween. Besides being a season where we can wear some truly funkadelic outfits without any judgement. Plus, indie makeup companies like Meow Cosmetics come out with some super awesome collections! There are a couple of re-releases too - great for newbies like me.

This is the newest collection for 2010. I love the colors!

This is a release of an old collection. Still very pretty.

These appeared earlier this year and has been re-released for this holiday. :D

Another older collection. Purrrrty.

One of the newer, non-holiday related collections. It's a bit opaque for my tastes but I still want to try the colors out too!

Ooo, more of my taste! Decisions, decisions...
